About Ted Maurer
I was graduated from Missouri Auction
School as Col. Ted Maurer in July of 1966. At that time I
was a public school teacher, having graduated from
Franklin & Marshall College in 1960. I pursued
auctioneering as a part time venture until 1980, when I
retired from public school teaching and became a full
time professional auctioneer. Since then, I have operated
a full service auction business, holding licenses in
Pennsylvania and Ohio.
My daughter, Kathryn, a Temple University graduate,
became my full time associate in 1992. She holds a
certificate from International Auction School and is
licensed and bonded in Pennsylvania. In 1995 she became a
graduate gemologist ( G.I.A. ).
We feel confident in several areas of specialty: Antique
electric trains, antique toys, antique automobile
literature, clocks and watches, jewelry, railroadiana and
ephemera.
We presently conduct ninety to one hundred auctions per
year. We own our own building for storage &
preparation in Gilbertsville, PA. Our annual gross has
exceeded $3,000,000.00 for the last five years. |
